Rheem SP20991 is the Rheem Manufacturing Combination Gas Control Kit - NG.

It is a Rheem gas control part for tank-type gas water heaters. It regulates gas flow to the pilot and main burner and holds the water temperature at the set point. Rheem parts are matched to specific heater models, so check the model and serial number on the rating plate to confirm the fit.

Match the fuel type and heater model exactly, because natural gas and propane controls are not interchangeable. Turn off gas before removal, use approved thread sealant, and leak-test every connection before relighting.
